SCoViA: Effectiveness of spatial communicative virtual agent based on motion parallax

چکیده

We propose a spacial communication method between a user and a virtual agent that provide an illusion as if it has a physical presence. In this system, real-time 3DCG agent has been drawn with changing a viewpoint in a virtual space corresponding to the user’s viewpoint detected by face-tracking. The face-tracking can perform this interaction as same as a robot in the real world. We conducted a preliminary experiment to verify whether our proposed method was effectively producing spacial interaction between human and virtual agent. The result shows the agent’s talkability increase when the agent made eye-contact with the user.
